This worksheet is similar to the one in my free post, "What is Slope in Real Life Anyway?"
However, the slope here is negative. This activity presents a modeling problem as required by the Common Core standards.
Students write and graph an equation in order to connect the meaning of slope to a real-life situation. They are going to ask, "How can we write an equation when we do not know how many tickets we bought?" This could be your opportunity to come back and say "And what do we use to represent an unknown amount in an equation?"
