This item is part of my Color Me a Rainbow language program (full curriculum coming soon in iBook format!) used with Deaf and Hard of Hearing students. However, it is also a great resource for English as a Second Language (ESL) teachers. Verbs are possibly the most important part of any sentence in the English language. They not only hold the information about the action or state of being of the subject of the sentence, but they also carry important information about the time the action or state of being occurred. Verbs are first introduced in the Common Core ELA in Kindergarten and expectation for use and underling become increasingly complex in successive grades. Given the complex nature of the resource, it is intended for older students needing reinforcement or reteaching of the parts of speech.
This resource is intended to support students while writing independently. See my other products, such as "What is a Noun?" and "What is an Article?" to create a handy printable resource to aid students while writing independently. You can also shrink to fit on a 3X5 index card. Laminate them and put them together with a ring for easy carry-along access (attaches to the inside of a student's binder or backpack).
