If you want to get your students discussing the Constitution AND Current Events this is the lesson for you. This lesson is intended to introduce students to the Constitutional principle of limited government, while also getting them to think critically. In this lesson you will introduce the principle of limited government by addressing the powers granted to the government as well as the prohibitions placed on the government in the Bill of Rights. After introducing the concept students will analyze one perspective of the San Bernandino cell phone debate and take and stance on the issue, using relevant Constitutional evidence to support their stance. Good luck!
