After teaching adjectives use the what is it writing sheets to practice. Use a sticky note or tape a small paper to cover the pictures on the papers before handing out to students. Students will write about the picture without naming the object and by using adjectives. Ideas of what kinds of adjectives to use are on the sheet and can be checked off as students use the ideas. When everyone is done, read the papers and play a game of what is it? See if the students did a good job of describing and can guess each other's pictures! I have included a blank one to put in your own pictures.
**This can be displayed on a bulletin board with the pictures still covered.
