Product Description

Got a student who will do anything if a car or truck is involved? So do I! These cards are perfect for students in a Middle School Life Skills, Autism, or any other special education program practicing for the WA-AIM, or for any 6th grade math student learning about Ratios. This is not a test item, and does not meet the criteria to use in the actual WA-AIM assessment. This resource contains 8 pages/ 32 cards. Each card has pictures of 2 items (i.e. 2 trucks and 1 wagon). Students have to count the objects, and then determine the ratio of one item to another. Ratios include part to part, part to whole, reverse part to part, reducing to 1:1/2:1/1:3. To use, print on card stock and laminate. Have students clip or circle the correct ratio for each problem. To use as worksheets, print in gray scale and make copies. Students can answer by clipping with a clothespin or paper clip, circling with a dry erase marker, pointing, PARKING A CAR, etc. These are great for practice, entry tasks, exit tickets, work boxes, etc.

This would make a great Task Box activity once students are more independent with this skill.

Variety is life, and generalization is key to learning. Click here to find more Ratio task cards! Click here for more CAR THEMED activities for difficult to motivate students.
