A simple Power Point presentation (15 slides) which introduces students to how constellations allow people to find stars or other objects in space. This presentation is designed to teach students that they can recognize patterns (constellations)relatively easily and that allows them to recognize individual stars in a seemingly random collection of stars. The stars do not reflect the celestial sphere, nor does the constellation resemble an actual constellation. This activity can be easily edited if you want to make it "prettier". It did what I wanted it to do.
Print the "notes" page for possible teacher prompts for each slide.
