This is a religious reader's theater intended for a small group of 4 students. This script deals with how a person can know when they are living for Christ. In the script, Elijah is going on a mission’s trip and his friends want to know about it. When he says he’s ALL IN - they ask him to explain just what he means. Elijah tells them that it is a little like poker when you put everything on the line for what you believe. Elijah goes on to say that the three signs you are living a Christian life are when you are baptized, when Christ is at the center of your life, and when you are sharing the Good News with people around you. That is what Elijah means when he says he is ALL IN! There is a small writing assignment at the end for students. It would make a great skit performed before a sermon, to introduce a new missions trip, or before a discussion in class. I use reader's theaters to encourage my students to practice fluency. It is a fun way to do something that they need. My scripts are in black and white with only the occasional color picture on front so they are cheaper and easier to photo copy. The problem with many other reader's theaters is that students spend a lot of time waiting for their part. When you have a small group they get more practice in and less off task behaviors take place. My name is Melanie Whitesides but my store name is Wonbyone and I hope that your students enjoy this script as much as mine did. Let me know how things go!
