Teaching as an empath is tough – I won’t pretend otherwise. However, empath teachers all over the world choose to keep teaching despite their challenges because the payoff (not necessarily the pay) is well worth it. When teaching as an empath, it is easy to view one’s empathy as a hindrance – or even a burden – without the right skills.
The good news is that any empath teacher, regardless of their teaching scenario, can learn to feel better day-to-day. Over time, empath teachers can even learn to use their skills to improve classroom management and to build better relationships. Therefore, don’t consider the categories within this document to be “permanent” states of being. You can – and will – “level-up” throughout your career. How? Read on and kiss burnout goodbye!
