Students use real images of weather scenes and real images of clothing items to pair clothing you wear for each weather. Thermometer included to show difference between "hot, warm, cool, cold" so that students can determine the temperature based on real weather forecastss.
Laminate seasons pages.
Cut out 30 clothing items.
Attach velcro to boxes on each weather page and each clothing item.
1. Look at the weather forecast.
2. Have students identify the degrees and the level of "hot, warm, cool, cold" on each thermometer. This also works with the ULS/Symbol Stix weather thermometer visual.
3. Students match the clothing items to the weather page, using different images for similar clothing items.
*Conversations can be had about the similarities/differences between clothing items, temperatures, and why a person would wear each clothing item.
