Individuals with developmental disabilities, autism and other impairments often have difficulties judging what clothing is appropriate for different types of weather. This is a social story, with images and simple, sequential, repetitive text, which talks about clothing that is appropriate - and not appropriate - to wear in the winter.
This story would be especially appropriate for pre-teen and teenaged male special education students who struggle with this concept - those for whom it is age-appropriate to be independent in their clothing choices. Please note this story covers indoor clothing, not outdoor clothing such as coats, hats, etc. There is a page to use if your students also need reminders to wear underwear, but that page is optional if you wish not to use it.
