This 3 page packet contains everything your students need to investigate the US role in the Panama Revolution and the Building of the Panama Canal. This short document Based Activity is a perfect complement to a lecture on President Teddy Roosevelt and his Big Stick Policy. This could be an in-class activity at the end of your lecture or a great homework assignment. In this activity, students will examine several primary source excerpts, photographs/maps and diagrams and will answer comprehension questions to increase their understanding of how the US obtained the Panama Canal zone and how the Canal was built.
