Defining and Describing is always difficult for students! They struggle to choose relevant characteristics that make an object unique. This lesson is a NO PREP and NO PRINT way to help your students receptively identify the relevant characteristics of common objects. They also have expressive opportunities to define on their own, without assistance.
No cutting, no laminating, no having to store it on a shelf.
Displays beautifully on an iPad, laptop or SMART Board. Especially perfect for a teletherapy platform.
We've targeted: popcorn, panda, pancakes, quarter, cupcake, doctor, cow, cellphone, teacher, flower, broccoli, and a pan.
HOW TO USE: To elicit RECEPTIVE descriptions, have your students circle the best 4 descriptions listed for each object. Talk about WHY those are the BEST descriptions. To elicit EXPRESSIVE responses, use the pages that provide blank lines for students to practice providing the descriptive phrases they have learned. You can type in the words if using a teletherapy platform, or write them into the spaces.
This lesson is designed to be used on a teletherapy platform, however, it can be printed for use, or called up on a laptop or iPad. Consider using a dry erase marker right on your screen to circle and write on the lines!
