Target attributes and describing skills with this pack that includes 1 “How to describe an object” cloud and rain drop visual aid sheet as well as 48 umbrella description cards for tons of practice with this skill!
To prepare: Print one “How to describe an object” sheet for each student. Print all umbrella cards. Laminate all of these documents. Cut out all clouds, raindrops, and umbrella cards.
To use: Each student receives a cloud and a set of all of the raindrops. Students take turns selecting umbrellas and listening as the description of the object is read from the card. As the adult reads the description, students place a raindrop under the cloud for the way in which an object is described. For example, if a TV was being described and the description was “you watch it”, the student would put the “what do you do with it?” raindrop under the cloud. Once all of the clues have been read, students can guess the object that is “under the umbrella”.
