You and your students will love this activity because it is personal and relevant to their lives! Students will choose 5 of their daily activities to use while converting units of time. They will determine how many hours they spend on each activity, and use that data to then convert the amount of time to minutes, seconds, the fraction of a day, and the fraction of a week. There is no key included because each student will begin with a different amount of time depending on their personal activities, so teachers will need to check students' calculations individually for accuracy. It can be used at a math center, for a class activity, or as homework.
