What's in the Box is a great activity to introduce or review inferencing. The activity includes three levels for differentiation. There are 90 different picture cards. Each card comes with a clue card that gives five sentence clues about the picture on the card. The activity is played when a picture card is put in the box and students try to guess what is on the picture through clues or by asking yes/no questions.
