This is an activity for students who are learning about chords and how to identify them based on the melody provided. Each melody spells out the chords according to the notes used forming the triad of most chords. In the later melodies, they become more challenging straying from the home key or not starting with chord I.
I use this worksheet for chord identification, chord progression basics, and simple keyboard chording practice for other chord ideas or interpretations through other genres of music.
The activity could also be used with GarageBand for multiple tracks, one melody, chords, counter-melody and drums.
