Animated Step-by-Steps are animated PowerPoints designed to address literacy, language, AAC and a host of academic goals. Each page includes a series of animations. Read the text up to the star … click … and see an animation of what you just read.
This is the SymbolStix supported version of this resource. Please note Animated Step-by-Steps are not compatible with Keynote.
The What’s the Weather? Song is a simple song that seems to be quite popular in many preschool classrooms. I typically conduct this ASbyS as a weather lesson, then encourage the class to sing along on the alternate non-animated version that provides a song track (just click on the song button provided). Note: the large symbols are programmed to speak their labels when tapped/clicked.
Use the Change picture command of PowerPoint to alter the photo face. http://bit.ly/personalizing
This PowerPoint resource can be displayed on the ‘big screen’ (interactive whiteboard, large screen TV using Apple TV) or the ‘little screen’ (computer monitor, iPad using the free Microsoft PowerPoint app). I especially like using a remote switch to simplify the motor response required to trigger the animations.
