In this module, you and your students will explore how books can be helpful and is a joyful activity that can help us to acquire knowledge.
Lessons 10-21 will address the next two focus questions: “What happens to Nasreen after the story ends?” and “What does the Biblioburro’s librarian do while Ana is waiting for him to return?” These focus questions are responses to Module 1 Reading Lessons. You do not need to teach the reading lessons, you can read and discuss the books with your students.
Focus writing tasks are formative assessments that appear at the end of a set of lessons that address one text or multiple short texts organized around a focus question. That tasks require students to respond to a form of the focus question, and measure students’ mastery of the module’s focus writing standards.
This module was written for First Grade but can be used up to Third Grade.
