In this module, you and your students will explore how reading is a joyful activity that can help us to acquire knowledge.
Lessons 10-21 will continue with how texts help us and how books change the life of the characters Nasreen in Nasreen’s Secret School and Ana in Waiting for the Biblioburro.
Lesson 20 will provide a checkpoint assessment which will require students to respond independently to a new text, The Oxcart Library, in order to assess students’ mastery of standards introduced in the module so far.
This module was written for First Grade but can be used up to Third Grade.
