Wheel of Exponents is a 2-player game that allows students to practice multiplying and dividing whole numbers and decimals by powers of 10. Players take turns using a paper clip/pencil spinner to spin a problem before writing it on the included recording sheet. Players then solve their multiplication or division problem involving the powers of 10. The player with the greater answer earns points that equal the exponent in his problem. After all rounds are played, the player with the most points wins the game. This activity meets or exceeds the Common Core Standards of Mathematics and makes for a great class game or math center. The recording sheet serves as a great source of accountability for the student and progress monitoring for the teacher.
