I created this activity to accompany the book, When I Feel Angry (by C.Spelman and N.Cote). Find the book here:
I use this activity in both whole group classroom lessons, and for small pull-out groups.
This activity also ties in nicely with my Zones of Regulation lessons. Begin with a read aloud of, "When I Feel Angry" or similar book. After the read-aloud, have students choose their favorite coping tools, and paste to the tool box page. Then students can share and explain which tools they chose and why. In which settings or situations could they apply these strategies?
Included is a tool box page and tiles with various illustrated coping skill strategies.
I have also included blank tiles, so students can write and illustrate their own favorite coping tools. I hope your students enjoy this activity as much as mine do! :)
