When I Feel Out of ConTROLL Calming Strategies Bulletin Board
Teaching kids to deal with anger and frustration can be challenging. This bulletin board gives students some ideas for coping when they feel like they are losing control.
This download contains 12 posters with ideas for calming down. Some of the ones included:
I can find a quiet place to think.
I can exercise.
I can talk to a friend.
I will not hurt others.
I can listen to music.
A title page and larger title words and letters are included for the title “When I Feel Out of ConTROLL”
Four, full page writing prompts are included. They give students an opportunity to write about their favorite ways to calm down or relax and an opportunity to color. (One of my favorite ways to unwind!) The pages use the phrases “When I feel out of conTROLL” and “When I feel out of control” in case you have a preference. These pages would be great to hang as a border around your bulletin board or next to it in the hall.
