Riding the school bus can be challenging for children, especially those with special needs. Since the bus is a different kind of environment than the one at home or in the classroom, children need to learn a new set of appropriate behaviors for that environment. This ebook provides a simple set of rules, presented as expected behaviors, for riding the school bus. It presents what the bus driver expects and what the other children riding the bus expect for a safe and enjoyable ride. I’ve written this particularly for SDC students who have difficulties with their behavior on the school bus. This can be read repeatedly to help students develop their understanding of how their actions affect others.
