There are 35 cards in this set. Each student gets at least one card. Hopefully, this means that some of your students will get 2 cards. The cards are written in a sequence so that one student’s action is dependent on another’s. For the class to be successful at this task, they must listen and watch one another plus pay attention to their own card(s).
The first time this activity is done Is meant to be a metaphor for classroom success. The disequilibrium created by not giving directions and yet pushing them to finish, creates an opportunity for class discussion regarding the qualities of a successful classroom and school year.
