This game. is. so. much. fun. My students LOVE it and I completely forgot about it until now.
Print out the cards, laminate them (if you wish), and cut them out. Pass one (or more, depending on class size) to each student. Tell them all to read their cards to themselves before you begin.
**Note-- I do this during their food chapter. It can be adapted to fit any chapter, but I wouldn't use it unless you're sure that they know all of the vocabulary on the cards.**
Next, just clap twice. The person with the card that says, "When someone claps twice, you will say..." will read their card. (Last year, my student laughed really hard when he realized what was going on.) It plays out and goes around the room until the conversation finishes. Students love it and generally ask to do it 2 or 3 times. You can time them, if you want, to see how long it takes them and if they can beat their times.
