Teachers, here is an activity to use during Literacy Stations or Centers. I designed it to use when you teach the letter "D", but you can use it at any time for practice distinguishing between beginning, middle, and end sounds.

Students will sort cards according to where they hear the /d/ sound. They will place the word cards under the beginning, middle, and end cards depending on where they hear the /d/ sound.

A recording sheet is provided for use during the activity for accountability. You can also use this sheet as an assessment.

(Note: This is the SAME activity that I designed for the Kindergarten Sight Words, Sounds, Syllable Activities for Unit 4 Reading Wonders. If you have already purchased that unit, you do not need this one because you already have it.)
