Product Description
This Reverse Interactive Book helps students build expressive and receptive language. Students can identify common pictures and words (leaf, tree, boy, box, hat, girl, books, backpack, shoes, bus, desk, apples), prepositions (in, on, above, under, between), sentence formulation, and following directions. This product can be used for students who have special education goals with identifying common objects, following directions, and prepositions.

Directions: In this Reverse Interactive Book, the teacher will ask the student to help them find/collect all of the leaves. The students will be taking the leaves out of the book and putting them on the bare tree. The page with the bare tree will be presented to the student. The teacher will read one page at a time and ask the student to follow the directions on the page. For example, the page will say “I found a leaf under the boy.” The student will take the leaf that is under the boy and place it on the tree. The student will collect all 10 leaves filling up the tree. The teacher may ask the student to reread each sentence using the words and pictures to decode.

To Make: Laminate each page of the book (pg. 3-13). Use binder rings to put the pages together. Cut out and laminate each individual leaf picture (pg.14) and place velcro on the back. Velcro each page of the book following the direction on each page. Place each laminated leaf on each page before beginning with the student.
