Product Description
Hibernation is here! For a fun play-based science center, laminate a few copies of this worksheet and have students place animal figures on the areas where they belong. Students can also draw the animals they can see in the book you've chosen for this center, cut and then paste them onto the appropriate areas of the diagram.

I like to pair this activity with the book A Den is a Bed For a Bear by Becky Gaines, but could also easily be paired with other books: Animals in Winter by Henrietta Bancroft and Richerd G. Van Gelder; Over and Under the Snow by Kate Messner; and Owl Moon by Jane Yolen.

Happy Winter!
