This activity is meant to be your child's first exposure to learning how big the world is outside of their home. It will help them understand that while they are a member of a family, they are also a neighbor, a U.S. citizen, a world citizen and everything in between! This activity is so simple and can be used in a hundred different creative ways!
- Ideas for Use
- Cut each circle out, punch a hole and tie a ribbon through them. Take your children on a neighborhood walk and then show them how small the neighborhood is compared to the city.
- Tape each circle onto the lid of a tupperware. Fill each tupperware with items you might find from home, the neighborhood, the city, etc. Let your child stack the tupperware and have fun with attaching the lids.
- Cut them out and use them as a coloring book. Let the child place the stars on where their city is in the state and in the country.
