Product Description
This activity was created to target language goals that relate to answering yes/no and WH questions, giving and following directions, using and identifying positional concepts.

In this pack, you will get 5 different family member choices, a home setting game board that features the following areas: garage, 3 bedrooms, closet, bathroom, living room, dining room, pantry, laundry room, electrical room, and outside playground, and 18 sentence strips to use as visuals to help support the use of complete sentences and correct sentence structure.

Play the regular version or the modified version (for those students who have difficulty keeping track of multiple things at once).

Regular Version
Each student has a game folder with two houses on it. The top house (My Family) is where the student arranges family members in certain rooms. The bottom house (Opponent’s Family) is for recording where the family members are in his or her opponent's house. To set up, each student places all ten family members (mom, dad, sister, brother, grandma, grandpa, baby, dog, cat, hamster) in one of the houses. They lay the other set of family members off to the side. Then the players take turns asking questions about each other's houses. Sentence strips are given to the students to help support the use of complete sentences and correct sentence structure. They keep going back and forth with questions until all of the second set of family members are placed correctly in the second house. The first player to find where every family member is in his/her opponent's house wins.

Modified Version
For students who have difficulty keeping track of two homes with family members, the modified version can be played. In this version, each student gets one house and one family. One student (The Hider) hides his family members in his/her house. The other student (The Guesser) asks questions to guess where the opponent’s family members are and records it on his house. The game ends when “The Guesser” finds all “The Hider’s” family members. Sentence strips are given to each student to help support the use of complete sentences and correct sentence structure.
