Where the Waves Break: Life at the Edge of the Sea by Anita Malnig is a nonfiction book about some of the different wildlife that children might discover while visiting the ocean. This book is a good resource to use as a nonfiction reading book or to add to a science unit about the ocean.
I have divided the book into five different sections. I have created comprehension questions for each of those five sections. There are a variety of different type of questions that requires students to use comprehension, referring, and inferring. I have included the answer key to each section with included the page number of where the answer can be found. Worksheets are ready to be printed and used.
