Use this game to review reading with the short vowel sound or closed syllable. This game provides practice reading CVC words, as well as words with blends and digraphs.
Place all monster cards in the pocket chart and hide the candy card behind one of them. Have students guess where the candy is hidden by reading the word on the monster’s card and then looking behind it to see if the candy is there. The winner is the student who finds the candy!
