PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Where's My Mummy by Carolyn Crimi is one of my favorite stories to read in October! I created this speech & language story companion to help my students' reach their goals while having fun with the story!
This packet is intended to be used along with the story, Where's My Mummy by Carolyn Crimi. The packet does not contain the story and is not affiliated with the author.

Pages 3-8: Large Story Characters
Print these out and mount them on construction paper, cardstock, or paper plates. Add a stick to make a mask or attach a string so the students can wear them as necklaces and act out the story!

Pages 9-11: Story Sequencing Activity
Have the students or yourself cut out the pictures on page 11. Have the students sequence the story as you read the story aloud. This can be an individual or group activity. Have the students practice retelling the story when they are finished!

Page 12: Story Scavenger Hunt
Have your students search for target articulation words in the story and write them down on the list provided.

Pages 13-14: Compare & Contrast
Have your students compare and contrast characters from the story on the Venn diagrams provided.

Pages 15-18: Comprehension Game
Take turns asking the students comprehension questions about the story. As they answer correctly, they get to move around the game board on page 18!

Pages 19-24: Mummy BINGO
Included are 4 BINGO mats and calling cards with items and characters from the story.

Page 25: Writing Prompt
“When I get scared, my ‘mummy’….”

Page 26: Spooky Patterns
Students can cut and complete AB, AABB, and ABC patterns with characters from the story.

Pages 27-32: Counting With My Mummy book
Have students cut out characters and glue the correct amount on the corresponding page.
“I see 4 vampires.”

Pages 33-35: Cover the Dots
Have your students answer questions or practice target words/sentences before they put a chip, candy, marker, or color in the dots!

Page 36: Smash Mat!
Have your students practice retelling the story as they smash the characters. Or have them demonstrate their story vocab/character knowledge :)
