The text in the book is a repetitive pattern that focuses on the location words. Pages 2 - 9 can be read to the child, read with the child, as well as the child “reading” each page independently.
Cut the monkeys on pp. 16 - 17. Use clear velcro on the back of the monkeys and on the monkeys on pp. 10 - 15. Children use the monkeys interactively to put on a location that is named by the adult (receptive), or to tell where a monkey is located (expressive) using either a phrase (ex. between the pillows) or a sentence (ex. The monkey is between the pillows.)
