Students love taking personality quizzes! What better way to help your students get to know Shakespeare's famous play than by allowing them to envision themselves as one of its famous characters?
This quiz is great as a bell ringer, a fun activity in preparation for the final test, or an introduction to the characters before reading the play. It makes a great homework assignment, and it can also be used as a way of creating literature circles (all the Romeos in one group; all the Juliets in another, etc.) No matter how I use it, this fun quiz never fails to get students engaged and talking about the characters.
There are plenty of similar quizzes available online. But if you don't have access to the Internet - or you don't feel like booting up the laptops for a single activity - consider using this simple, one-page version instead.
