One of the most challenging things to keep up with in the classroom (especially during the winter months when sickness is all around) is make-up work from absences. This is a form that I always use to help students take responsibility to complete the work they missed while they were gone from school. Throughout the day, I put all the paperwork the student will need in a folder, then fill in the "While You Were Out" form at the end of the day and staple it all together so all of their make-up work is in one spot. This is especially helpful for making note of assignments that cannot be easily copied. In addition, there is a place at the bottom for the date their work is due to be turned in.
