This is a classroom favorite! In this speech, students show students how to do something by depicting it on a whiteboard. I use this as part of speech unit and is one of the "smaller" speeches that prepares students for the "big" speech.
Students learn to juggle maintaining eye contact, illustrating their ideas, and interacting/speaking with their audience.
Some things students have done in the past are "how to draw Mickey", "How to run a full court press", "the line of scrimmage", "musical notes", and many more.
Included is a hand out for students and a rubric.
