This is a project for any advanced 2-D art course. Included are project instructions, a grading rubric, and a written critique section.
Students will create a 3-dimensional non-objective design using cut/torn white paper, and will then photograph the design. The final product that students will turn in is a printed photograph.
This is a great non-traditional way to have students think about creating negative spaces, as well as different lighting ideas. It incorporates the use of sculpture and photography into one assignment.
