I use solfa ladders in almost every lesson, to remind students of the relationships between the solfa notes before moving them onto the staff. Instead of drawing one of the board every lesson, I now use this printed (and laminated) solfa ladder and little coloured solfa buttons.
My students LOVE being the one to place the buttons in the ladder! It's much more exciting than drawing a d, r, m etc with a boring pen.
The ladder features nine slots (just over an octave) and the buttons feature Do-Ti and also Do,-Ti, and Do'-Ti' so you can extend lower and higher than the original octave.
