This is from my primary habitats science unit. In terms of background that precedes this lesson we would have already spent a lot of time learning about the different types of habitats, animals and adaptations to the environment. For this activity students will choose two different animals and come up with clues about that animal (color, habitat, food, type of animal) and draw a picture. They will then find different partners and list of each clue in order and allow their partner to guess what animal it could be. The goal is to have the partner guess before the author reveals what animal it actually is.
