Product Description
This is a great, fun way to cover the famous people in history in our standards. You can also use it to cover characters in a book or novel you are reading! You students will get excited about Social Studies!

In this project, the students learn about the famous people in our history and design their snowmen to look like the person they were assigned. This is a great opportunity to tie in research and informational texts from your common core social studies curriculum. Cover those reading and writing standards too!

This makes for a great hallway display or bulletin board!

This project covers the 5th grade Georgia (GA) Social Studies Standards, but can be modified or edited to be used with any state or grade standards and famous people. This is an editable document!

Students love to create and present their snowmen that they have designed to look like people such as Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Jesse Owens, Adolf Hitler, Rosa Parks, Babe Ruth, and many more!

The students will add a card or index card to their snowmen that starts or ends with "Who Am I?" On the cards the students will write hints for their classmates to guess who it is. The kids love this! I assign it as an at home project, but can be done at school too.

This comes with an editable parent letter, rubric, and a list of famous people in history from the 5th grade social studies standards.

Have fun!
