This is a set of 3 activity sheets to accompany the Phonics Library story "Who Drew the Cartoon?" from the Houghton Mifflin® reading program. New! Revised in February 2011 to include writing skills as tested on state tests and benchmark tests. These are great activities for independent work during universal access time. The sheets for this story cover the following skills: "oo" words, "ew" words, "ue" words, parts of speech, synonyms/antonyms, personal connections, subject/predicate, ABC order, table of contents, syllables, plurals, main idea of a page, author's purpose, generalizations and details, writing skills, and sequencing. In my classroom, the children complete these during independent work time, then we check answers together. They love doing them!
