Have your kids figure out who the criminal is! They collect clues, use inferencing to guess who the thief is and solve the mystery! Great way to work inferencing and problem solving goals into the lesson! Super fun! Print the last two slides and have the kids take part in the action!
Please note, this is an adaptable ppt so you can reuse it. YOU decide who the thief is before you begin the game. Have students sort through the information on the slides, deciding what is important and what isn't. Take notes on the eye witness report, and when you have made it to the end of the clues, make an inference based upon that eye witness report. Students will be missing clues, that's where YOU come in. Based upon the thief you've chosen before you started, provide the last clues. For example, if you're missing say the hair color, you're going to give hair color of who you chose before the game began. This is done on purpose, that way you are able to use the same powerpoint over and over again.
