This emergent reader little book is a great way to begin reading with young students. This story uses a predictable pattern to support emerging readers.
Each page features someone who might live at the North Pole: elf, snowman, gingerbread man, polar bear, reindeer, and Santa Claus. The text follows the pattern: This is a ________. He/She lives at the North Pole. There is also a speech bubble on each page, in which the character says, "I live at the North Pole."
This story reviews the following sight words: this, is, at, the, he, she and who.
This book includes the same text on both the top and bottom of each sheet of paper to make copying, sorting, stapling, and cutting easy to create a class set of little books!!
