Description

Who Studied History? Students learn who studied history in a fun way! Engaging!

In this highly engaging lesson, students understand the importance of studying history by learning which famous people have also studied the subject! Students are surprised to learn that Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (Lew Alcindor), Shakira, and Jimmy Buffet (among many others) also studied history in college!

** A Google 1:1 version is included that is optimized for distance learning! **

Students examine 12 posters to realize that many famous people have also studied history, the importance of history, and why this subject is worth studying. Students complete a 2-page "Who am I" chart as they search each poster, then students complete a short writing prompt where they reflect on what they have learned!

This is a great activity to introduce history at the beginning of the school year!

Enjoy!

** Alternative versions are included to help those with printing issues! **
