“Who Wants a S’more?” is an interactive book that can be used to target many goals at the same time. These books are perfect for teaching “Who” and “What” questions, pronouns “he”, “she” "we" and “they,” and sequencing. They are designed to be used with students, who are minimally verbal, have limited English, or who are even non-verbal.
For these students, it allows them to choose the pictures without requiring speech. Also, the repetitive nature of the story allows multiple opportunities to practice targeted skills.
“Who Wants a S’more?” comes in two books. One book is in color, intended for using with the movable pieces.
The second book comes in black and white and can serve as a take-home coloring book.
*Book 1: In color: As students read each page, they can answer the questions by placing each interactive piece on the squares on the matching page with velcro.
The first 7 pages review the ingredients needed to make s’mores and how to make them.
The next 7 pages reviews WHO QUESTIONS and PRONOUNS he, she, we, and they.
*Book 2: BLACK AND WHITE – Take-home coloring book
Cut out the interactive/ movable pieces from the answer keys in Black and white on pages 35-37 for gluing purposes if desired. Students can read the story and just color each picture as they answer the questions -OR -Students can answer the questions by placing each interactive piece on the squares on the matching page with glue.

* BONUS HOMEWORK PAGE- Page 39 can be copied and sent home for homework practice and/or it can serve as a parent note about progress. Pictures from the book are included on this parent note.
