This is an adorable story by Jerry Pallotta! The children think it's hilarious!
This Reader's Theater has roles for three children. The children suggest various animals that might carve the Thanksgiving turkey! Then they tell the reasons why that particular animal would not work!
Nametags are included. You might hole-punch them through the top. Thread a piece of yarn through the hole, and then hang around the students' necks. You could also staple them onto a 2-inch wide strip of construction paper that is long enough to fit around their heads. Then you have a headband! (I usually have to add a small piece to make them fit all the way around my students' heads.)
Have fun with this, and please feel free to make any changes that you would like.
Reader's Theaters are enjoyed by all! They also promote reading and speaking fluency!
