Make characters come alive from any novel, short story, play, poem or history unit with this fun and easy-to-use worksheet. Students will select a character or historic person who they will think would like to be on TV. They will choose a character to star on TV, then pick three TV shows their character might like to star in, and then draw the character on the TV screen on the worksheet and fill in the oval space what they would be saying.
The PDF file provides two pages, one of which is the blank form with questions for the student to respond to in writing. The second page is a completed sample with suggested answers for the teacher and/or students to view. The sample is from To Kill a Mockingbird, but this worksheet can be used with any other novel, play, short story, poem or history figure.
This activity will work with six grade students through high school seniors.
