A Drawing Conclusions and Making Inferences Game that can be used every year!
Divide the class into groups of 3-4.
Give out the top secret graphic organizer (front and back). Students will use this to write down their conclusions.
Explain to students that they will travel around the classroom and open the manila folders to read the profiles and the scenarios of the characters.
Then explain that they will have between 4-6 minutes in each room to read the character profile card on the person, the scenario, and to fill out the section on the graphic organizer for the character’s station they are in at the time. (*The time may have to be adjusted based on your classes needs.)
When their time is up, the groups will transition to their next station.
When students reach the place they initially started, they will report out as a group on who they think has the treasure box and why?
Last, the teacher will take the game answer key out of a Top Secret envelope and tell the class who had the treasure box. ** You will need to create your own Top Secret envelope.**
