This cut and paste activity addresses TEKS 4.3G (represent fractions and decimals on a number line), and 4.3D compare fractions with different numerators and denominators and represent the comparison using symbols). The focus of this activity is to allow students to use benchmark fractions to assist in the placement of multiple fractions on a number line given a real world context. Students then have a practice page with both open ended and multiple choice type questions using the information provided from ordering on the number line. Fractions between 0-1 are represented as well as one practice with mixed numbers.
This activity would be great as a whole group lesson, math center, review, or test prep for the upcoming STAAR!
